Our Services

Our platform provides free, easy access to essential scholarly resources, helping to eliminate barriers and support education and research across Nigeria.

How FRELIP Works

The Services section explains how the Free eLibrary Portal delivers value to its users and partner institutions. FRELIP is more than a collection of links – it is a carefully designed service that harvests, organises and disseminates open access and open educational resources at scale.

Core Delivery Model

  • FRELIP gathers metadata from academic and research institutions, publishers and reputable OA platforms around the world.
  • Open-source technologies – including RSS/OPML, SubjectsPlus, and VuFind – are used to index, organise and expose millions of records.
  • The portal interface allows users to browse by discipline, search across services and follow links to full-text content hosted on external platforms.
